It is no secret that the vx1000 is the cream
of the crop when it comes to miniDV cameras.
I know some people like the XL1 but everyone
has thier own idea of what a "good" image is.
I've now heard of the vx9000 -- What the hell
is it? I've heard it takes full sized digital
videos -- Do they exsist?
Can someone please shed some light on this
matter for me please.
Thanks.

The VX9000 uses a full size DV tape which is the same technology as Mini-DV but with tapes with a running time of 120 & 180 minutes. It is aimed more at the semi-pro market.

I very much doubt it. Like I said Mini DV and DV format uses the same recording technicnology, where as both the VX 1000 & 9000 use the same 10X optical zoom lens and the same 3CCD chip. The main advantage on the 9000 would be the audio L/R channels seperate control.

Thanks, I'll buy a VX1000 -- As it's ?500
cheaper and miniDV tapes are easier to get
hold of.
